Damn. I'm a blues fan and I will say it was hard seeing that. Boyle is a great player. It does kind of look like Boyle tripped right before he was hit, which could've put his head closer to the edge of the board. But lapierre still should have eased up a bit. Never good to see this kind of injury. Hope he gets better.

It was a bad/dirty hit no doubt about it. Lapierre is no monster like Matt Cooke. Lapierre Usually is just a big mouth that draws a lot of penalty's. Most teams would love him for a 3rd or 4th line. Hate him all you want, but he is no chronic head hunter.

Only Cooke and Torres are on the same page as far as being dirty. Max has been on a lot of teams in his career. He has never been a favorite of his team mates.He pulled the same dirty hit on Kane a game early.. Lucky for Kane he was ok but it could have been very serious.Max has made way to many enemies for "MOST" teams to want him.His mouth dives and dirty hits do not endear him to players or coaches in the league.
