I like this player alot too. I think Robertson for Colton would be a good trade for Colorado and would help out the leafs a lot as well. Obviously they’d need to get rid of Kampf or jarnkrok but if they can do that and put hakanpaa on LTIR there’s your 4 mill right there. Makes total sense. We have holmberg, minten, Cowan Robertson…. cheap and time for the leafs to give them an actual shot… not like Sheldon's 1 game here 1 game there experiments, no stability in that system. Put them in, stick with them , let them make mistakes and turn them into what you need.

Another cap dump contract that would require a sweetener and we give up nothing. When we dump contracts to free up cap space it costs us draft picks. Multi year contracts will cost extra. You guys have things backwards.
Timmins, Robertson, Kampf, and maybe Minten for Colton, then they have a full line up, just maybe not the one they want.
Getting rid of Robertson will be a massive mistake because marner won't resign after next season which will give him even more opportunity
