Seuls 2 Flyers y figurent. Michkov au 2 et Bonk au 50… Wheeler n’est pas fan de Luchanko et était très optimiste pour Buium qu’il avait au 5.
Celebrini était devant Michkov, ce qui est juste et je suis d’accord avec ça.
Bonk a été placé à la 50e place parce qu’il n’est considéré comme un joueur solide que pour le milieu de terrain. Je pense que beaucoup de gens se laissent trop emporter par lui. J’ai vu tellement de commentaires disant que c’était un excellent choix, ce qui n’a aucun sens étant donné que tout ce qu’il a fait, c’est une bonne saison. EN JUNIOR.
Il pourrait encore être décevant dans la LNH. Quelqu’un comme Phil Myers était un espoir mieux coté que Bonk…
Et beaucoup de joueurs choisis juste après Bonk ont eu des années tout aussi bonnes, voire meilleures, donc cela n’a pas de sens de dire que cela ressemble à un excellent choix.
Quatre des huit joueurs suivants pris après lui étaient mieux classés que Bonk parce qu’ils avaient eu des saisons encore plus impressionnantes. Nadeau et Perrault ont eu des saisons incroyables en NCAA. Un autre était Cowan qui était un meilleur joueur dans la même équipe.
C’est fou de dire que Bonk est un bon choix en ce moment ou même de dire qu’il semble l’être. Il se développe comme un 22e choix au total devrait le faire. Ni mieux ni pire. C’est un bon prospect, pas un excellent, qui se projette comme un joueur de milieu de gamme.
Les gens seront probablement surpris que Barkey n’ait pas été inclus, mais il n’a jamais été un prospect de premier plan. Je ne l’ai jamais vu sur une seule liste de prospects. Il y a une raison pour laquelle il a été classé 95e au classement général.
Comme Bonk, il fait une bonne saison chez les juniors L’après draft ne veut pas dire grand chose. Tout prospect décent est censé dominer les juniors après la draft.
Lorsque Michkov aura obtenu son diplôme, les Flyers auront un bassin de prospects vraiment médiocre, sans aucun prospect de premier ordre. Brière doit vraiment faire quelque chose parce qu’à l’heure actuelle, nous n’avons pas les pièces dans le système pour devenir une équipe de haut niveau. Et je ne vois pas deux premiers buts supplémentaires l’année prochaine changer cela.
S’appuyer fortement sur des joueurs qui ne sont pas des vedettes comme Bonk, Luchanko, Drysdale, Barkey, York pour construire cette équipe est loin d’être idéal. Aucun d’entre eux n’est censé être un joueur de première ligne ou de paire et tous, à l’exception de York, ont des joueurs qui n’ont pas fait leurs preuves et qui ont des niveaux bas.

I in no way mean to talk shit about this post or anything, but why do people hold writer/analyst’s opinion in such high regard versus the entire scouting and talent development/acquisition of an NHL team?
Shouldn’t a team’s team of expert and experienced scouts and staff be better equipped and « smarter » than these writers who analyze the draft for content?
Regardless of which way the Luchanko pick goes, there will be plenty of hot takes to look back on, primarily in the Luchanko is a bum and Buium is the next Cale Makar takes.
Buium at 5 and luchanko unranked is hysterical. Can’t imagine paying for one of these subscriptions

Undrafted Phil Myers? When was he ever a highly rated prospect?
Keep sleeping on Jett. His birthday was three weeks away from making this season his draft-1 season. I’m confident that he’ll be an important piece for us in a few seasons.
I initially thought this was going to be reasonable commentary on this article, and then you went full bore crybaby mode at the end.
Rebuilds take fucking time. You don’t overnight decide to magically have high end talent. There isn’t some magic button that Briere is going to push to acquire young high end talent.
Some of yall really need to like, idk, maybe listen to recent Briere interviews. The position that the team is in has been made clear by Briere: these next two years are free years they’re using to acquire talent and picks through the draft and shed old contracts. Briere blatantly said recently they’re happy to have Michkov come over now to have control over his prime years of development. It isn’t so they can win immediately, it’s to make something that wins for a decade.
Myrtetus touched on this recently. You don’t shop for Ferraris when you’re still paying off your 04 Corolla.

Phil Myers was undrafted. Drysdale and York both have top pairing ability and potential. Luchanko produced on a bad Guelph team, as THE youngest player in the draft, give him some time. Bonk had a season similar to Dickinson, playing 8 less games. Dickinson went 11 overall. I’d say Bonk has top 4 D potential. Barkey looked great in camp and was the Knights leading goal scorer, let’s be happy we found a guy at 95 that probably has value of a late 1st rounder. There is more work to be done, and Danny B is gaining draft assets.
Be patient.
Like or dislike Scott Wheeler, at least he actually explained why he likes Bonk, and rates him higher than prospects taken before him in last year’s draft.
Your post is just word salad. There’s no reason to believe that you’ve ever actually watched Bonk play. He actually had a good draft and draft +1 season, he was selected to Canada’s WJC team at 18 years old, and that’s all without mentioning that Phil Myers was an undrafted prospect that only began showing promise in — get this — his draft +1 season.
