Out 6-8 weeks, could be the whole season if surgery required.

Ryan Suter’s signing makes a lot more sense now
the_dayman623
Just a brutal contract and decision to let Petro go by Armstrong. Decimated this teams window with ROR still around.

Suter signing starting to make more sense.

LTIR here you go
mhanna86
Krug take your time bud and get better. As much time as you need.

Someone with more medical background tell me if this would be LTIR forever or he could come back? Obviously want Krug to be okay as a person, but if he was LTIR forever that might save us
Mab_894
Damn hopefully he recovers well. Looks like we won’t have to move a dman after all
callmepaulwall
Hoping everything goes well, but I’m also wondering if this could mean the end of hockey for him. How serious is the surgery?

Krug is the new Mr. Glass.

Damn this definitely is coming off of that foot injury he had 3 years ago and it sprung it’s head last year too. Good thing is this sounds like a LTIR situation while he feels it out. Might just end up being sidelined for the year allowing for suter and perunovich to play. Then they will reevaluate later to see if the guy can play. If he’s truly out for the season and maybe career, we will have 13+ million available. That’s a lot of cash when we are only like 2 players away from being a top 5 team. Those 2 players would have to be a bonified #1 center and a top dman so not happening

This actually might be the “shedding of a defenseman”. Krug could never play again. Foot injuries are some of the hardest hockey injuries to return from.
and to do so without getting rid of any assets? Would be huge. Best case for Krug too, still gets paid, gets to retire where he wants.

That’s the LTIR’s music!
Born_Performance_908
I wish Krug the best, and best case scenario I’d love to see him fully recover and contribute to Blue Note success on the Ice.
If not…sitting out a year would serve him well into getting right for the last year of his contract, and us well in making use of that LTIR 💰

Never been a big fan of the guy since he got here, but that sucks. I always hate to see someone go out on something that’s not their own terms. I do hope he gets better and can play again.
This sounds bad, like career-threatening bad. I wanted him off the Blues like a lot of us and would joke about his tendency for finding himself injured, but I hate to hear about things like this. I hope he gets the best possible treatment for this.
rta8888
Do we get an insurance claim on this one?
mhanna86
Jokes aside he was actually pretty decent last year. On a good team he’s a bottom pairing D man. On the blues he’s playing the role of top 4.

Just read on a trade rumor site a potential trade to Anaheim fell through earlier in July because he again didn’t waive his NTC, and the ankle issue.
If we were shipping a first (or other assets out) to make the deal work, we may have actually dodged a bullet.

Sounds like he blocked a trade to Anaheim too. 😑
