   Anyone up on the difference between Associate and Assistant Coach, because he’s been an NHL Assistant Coach for quite a while.

   Anyway, welcome back to a real jam up dude. 500+ NHL games for the 167th overall pick in 1996, and as mentioned, a champion in 2001. That’s a guy who knows what it takes.

   Surprised it took as long as it did for Hinote to land a head coaching job, his assistant coaching resume is almost as long as his playing career at this point. Rooting for him, he’ll be a head coach in the NHL very soon.

   And when he does, the [2001-02 Avs alumni](https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leagues/seasons/teams/0006902002.html) will get another NHL head coach or GM, joining Sakic, Blake, Drury (GMs), Roy, and Larsen (HCs).
