Reddit mods and flexing the tiniest bit of power. Never gets old.

What a Muppet, complaining about being banned 😜

  3. HarveySpecter1970

I’ve had this happen to me too. Some are so rude to deal with, but I guess that’s what happens when basement dwellers are given a sliver of power lol

I do think mods should be held to a certain standard on this sub. They should be handling issues professionally. Don’t get me wrong, some ppl deserve to get banned but they should keep a level head and field questions appropriately.

Edit: Banned for using the word Muppet is a joke btw too

The mods and sub have talked about this on almost every post concerning the Oilers that gets traction – go over there and talk shit, and you get banned. It’s been a very clear rule from the start.

Sure they were a bit rude in the response. They are just Reddit users, like any of use. I’d get up and walk it off there bud, not a big deal, and not worth a post. You got your temp ban, came back, and decide to go after the Mods? Just take the L and move on. You’ve been waiting weeks to post this over that comment? Is this the sole interaction or is there anything else missing from the context?

Mods are volunteers on the internet, no? Doesnt that say everything that needs to be said?

I’m going to echo what u/letstrythatagainn, during the playoffs there were posts and comments multiple times a day from the mods about not talking shit on the other teams subs. They can’t just let you, the precious snowflake that you are, get away with it because you « didn’t see » they had to hold you accountable to the standards they had already set for everyone. Sure, the response was a bit immature and rude, but so is most of the internet, don’t be salty, take the L and move on.

Dude at least you got a 2 week ban. I got a PERMABAN on r/vancouver for making a joke about homeless people. I had to find out from r/nicevancouver theres actually a shit ton of us permabanned from /vancouver because of the same shit and its ridiculous how much power mods have

I feel like the mods have made it clear MULTIPLE times that you’ll be banned if you troll in the oilers sub. I feel like it is pretty hard not to notice that rule if you’re on reddit during the playoffs. However, it made no sense for them to ban you again because you simply inquired about the previous ban…

  9. gozerthe_gozarian

Ahh, you got addicted to that sweet salt harvest. You must learn to leave no trace, just collect the salt and go on your way.

  10. nihilism_ftw

    1) why were you in the Oilers sub, there’s like 0 reason to be there

    2) the mods here are a little overzealous, still remember the night of the attempted Canucksarmy cull

  11. Kaiserschleier

Bro shut the actual fuck up with the victim complex and go read the sub rules /s

  12. paklyfe

I mean it’s a Reddit mod, are we surprised?

  13. _HoochieMama

I was banned from r/meat 2 days ago because I told someone that their chicken needed to be cooked 30 minutes longer to achieve a better crispy skin. Turned out that poster was a mod of the sub.

Some mods just have nothing better to do than flex their extremely limited muscle haha.

  14. indearthorinexcess

You were probably banned for trolling in a different team’s sub in general, not the specific word. There are always reminders to not do that especially during playoffs. You have a 12 year old account. I find it hard to believe you didn’t know it was against the rules to troll other team’s subs

  15. Defiant-Raspberry-74

Pretty disrespectful mod right there…or Muppet? Ahhh fuck I’m gonna get banned now aren’t I?

  16. WhatBombsAtMidnight

Most people on Reddit are children. Mods included.

  17. boowayo

Only a muppet posts on other teams’ subs
