Not super in-depth in any one area, but this guy does a great, compact, video on the overall state of the team.
I think our roster is better this season than last. Michkov is an upgrade over Atkinson and a healthy Drysdale should make up for no Walker. Young players should take steps forward. The real test will be our goaltending. Errson played well when he knew Hart was the starter, kinda faltered when he was forced to be THE GUY and play essentially every game. If he’s ready to rock and Fedotov can steal a few wins, I think we’ll be in the playoff mix come March.
Ex-factors besides goaltending are, obviously, injuries… and if we don’t re-sign or trade TK by the start of the season, we’ll probably have to trade him. That would probably kill any momentum we’d have.
We make the playoffs last year if 4 of our top defensemen didn’t get hurt/traded. Our late season slump was caused by risto, drysdale and Seeler all getting hurt at the same time after Walker got traded.
