I fear we will be 3rd or 4th in our division this year, this roster ain't it . We're banking on panarin having another career season,this off season has me completely demoralized, but that's what being a ranger fan is all about.
That's disappointing. That leaves the team with zero cap space to get the team what it needs for post season. The team may do well in the regular season, but it might disappear once again in the playoffs unless that top right wing position is filled with someone experienced who can play two ways.
What. A. Mess. Drury really made his bed this off season. Set the tone by back knifing Goodrow to the Sharks, and then EXPERTLY flubbed the entire Trouba situation out loud for the whole NHL to see. Many fans and pundits agreed, the key to this offseason was offloading Trouba's horrendous contract. Now that horse looks to be out of the barn, what's the answer here? Can't imagine this ending well on any front. Rangers obviously aren't happy with him, his play or his contract. He's unhappy too. Why would they still want each other at this point? I think any and everyone involved knows that the LEAST likeliest scenario here is Trouba shutting up, playing the good soldier, and returning to ANYTHING resembling an 8 million dollar a year D man for this upcoming season.

Of course Trouba isn't getting traded. He's going to shutdown any trade since during this year of his contract he has a lot of power to turn down any trade, So let's end the Trouba saga as it's been over since him and his agent turned down the Red Wings trade.
Trouba-Pionk was a terrible trade, with a terrible contract.
