The Capitals get the retained amount, not the Canes. So, it's only 3ish relief for Carolina.
If you'd have told me that Nashville would add Stamkos and Marchessault this summer, I wouldn't have believed you.
I think Woodcroft could do wonders with the Blue Jackets.
I see that this activity has your Seals of approval.
Don’t turn into a coke head, kids.
No drugs testing in the KHL ?
The Kuzy news will be 4 mil for the hurricanes and 3.8 for the caps I believe.
What are the consequences for ignoring LTIR regulations? Any?
Capitals and Canes will each get 3.9 back in cap space, not 7.8 for Canes
Kuzzy needed to go somewhere where he could take his nose candy freely. lol
I wounder about Arturs Silovs. "A Qualifying Offer cannot actually be accepted before July 1. If a Qualifying Offer is not accepted, it expires by July 15 unless extended in writing by the team." Have Vancouver extended his Qualifying Offer or is he lost tomorrow?
But not with Byfield, mean man !!…
I think Canes owner is more interested in arena upgrades and development close PNC.
A lot of available land.
Now, who will use this with what is becoming a mediocre franchise?
Question? Last contract for RBA?
Is Bill Peters rehabilitated?
Looking ahead when RBA moves to Philly after contract expires.
Edmonton gave up on Bourgault. This could be an interesting trade down the road. Goalies are such a different animal. Sogaard is gonna be good, but it takes goalies more time. A team has to keep them in the mix until they're ready.
wow oilers are giving up on borgault. ouch.
Kuznetsov back to russia. So carolina will resign jarvis and necas, Man this will ruin a lot of Necas trade videos.
they have 11$ million in space now.
Thats a lot of news.
When the sabres do something dumb, sens make the same dumb decision. Sabres hire Ruff and Sens fire Green. Sabres trade Savoie and Sens trade Jarventie. Sens r the Sabres of Canada.
The Senators also traded RFA goalie Kevin Mandolese and a 2026 seventh rounder to Colorado for a 2026 sixth-rounder.
I sure hope everyone is intimidated enough by Yzerman to never dare offer sheet one of his players, hurry up and sign Mo and Lucas
With that Canes cap space, they should go back and buy Pesce and Skjei back.. simple!! I'm dying over here, Canes gonna miss the playoffs at this rate.
I hope that Waddell breaks the cycle and does not bring in Joel Quenneville as their new head coach, but I wouldn't bet against it.
Bummed about Kuznetsov going to the KHL, I was hoping he would turj his career around in Carolina
I never understood why Ottawa drafted Jariventie over Peterka, they had just drafted Stutzle why not take Peterka too when he goes one pick later
FYI Shannon, the Capitals retained half of Kuznetsov’s contract in the trade.
His cap hit with Carolina is actually $3.9M.
They will start up new rumours of Carolina trading for Marner and Leafs taking Necas….then again maybe a 'win-win' for both teams?????
kuznetsov's departure only frees up 3.9m. the caps are retaining on half that contract.
Well, you definitely won’t have to wear a ducks jersey because they don’t even know how to make moves
The shannon charm he mentions it and byfield signs his contract lol
As an Oilers fan the way I see it is a trade both ways. Jarventie is the most NHL-ready player and at worst is a decently-sized player, but I don't see him playing much in the NHL this year. Xavier wasn't gonna work out in the Oilers organization, he's had two disappointing seasons in Bakersfield but based on junior play he has the highest ceiling of those traded.
Since you mentioned that Byfield is open to an offer sheet, Byfield was just signed. The Kings were waiting for you to mention Byfield because of your close friendship with Anaheim.
I hope Columbus doesn't hire Quinville
Is Woodcroft bringing his hair dye with him.
The Hurricanes are going to be vulnerable scoring wise, up front. With this much cap space, now, they need to bring in an individual who can make up that gap.
Mike Babcock for CBJ coach. They deserve each other.
Ottawa/Edmonton trade, probably just about giving faithful prospects the opportunities in other franchises. A 4th rounder in addition for Edmonton is the cherry on the cake
Bougault…one of the biggest mistake by Holland. He could have drafted Wallstedt but decided to trade down and let Wild to take him instead. Then let Johnston slip away to Stars…
I have no idea why The Sens have made that trade. There must be something that’s gone on behind the scenes.
If an SC competitor wants you, must be exhilarating
Is carolina's strategy this year to just try with an entirely new roster? 7 departed, 9 signed
Joakim Ryan played the blue line with Brent Burns.
