Locked on Wild LIVE 7-21-24 ! Pourquoi garder Marco Rossi est la bonne décision !
Rejoignez-nous pour une autre émission en direct alors que Denny répond à vos questions et partage ses réflexions sur Marco Rossi et pourquoi il doit être gardé !
Denny – I appreciate you being honest man, that takes a ton of courage to say that stuff too, especially to a bunch of strangers. I might kick the cage often and lose my marbles from time-to-time, but I'm loyal to this show, and this Wild fan-base NEEDS real shows like this. It all goes back to Seth and the amount of time and energy that a show like this truly takes. GOOD ON YOU DUDE! BIG PROPS! Not all heroes wear capes, my dude!
We need to educate ourselves as fans, because collectively, our voice is POWERFUL! People read these comments, even Denny has said that. PEOPLE IN THE WILD ORG READ THESE COMMENTS. We deserve real, effective discussions about this team, it's players, the brass….all of that. The team deserves it, we deserve it.
Lastly, I go back and listen, sometimes 2 or 3 times, to these episodes, if that isn't loyalty, I dunno what is…because it matters to this team, and it matters to me. The truth can hurt though, so hold onto your butts…..because I won't sugarcoat anything. I'll try and walk the line a little better tho, there's ways to convey a message, and ways NOT to. I'm fully aware of that ahaha. OKLUVUBYE
Also, if you guys need more explanation on my theory of having 11 of 12 forwards all lefties will be exploited and defeated with EASE….I'll be happy to further explain to those that may still be confused about it. I'm not condemning a line that all shoot the same way, but just because they are pros, does not mean you can slot a winger on either side, at any time, on any line,no problem…and expect things will be all rainbows and balloons. It simply DOES NOT work like that, and details like this matter when constructing lines. Powerplay and PK doesn't really apply here, I'm talkin 5 on 5 match-ups, and players who are forced to mainly play on their weak side will be absolutely REKT. Just wait haha.
In fact, the only player on our forward line-up that has effectively done this is Zuccy, as he has already played RW as a left-handed shot for the majority of his pro career. Your positioning has to be 100% different on the ice for EVERY play, and it can take literal YEARS for players that are less skilled than Lizard is to adjust to something like that. I mean, good luck putting Moose on a line as RWer, he NEVER PLAYS RW, it's just a fact. The only time he might is during a D-ZONE face-off where there's a set play to clear the puck out of the zone. Something specialized like this applies, surely…but then quickly goes back to LW by either subbing him for a different player, or throwing out an entirely different line.
Ya'll can also be CERTAIN I will point this out in every game where it will in-fact be exploited, especially the obvious ones like turnover break-away goals, ugly stuff like that.
Not watching the episode right now. I just want to let you know if you are not aware Seth, that KARE 11 embedded you're Mount Rushmore video on their website 😁 Randomly had it pop up on my phone's news feed and thought that was cool our boy is getting famous!
Denny's opening comments brought a tear to my eye, glad to have you here Denny. You are an integral part of what makes the Locked On Wild community so special. Thanks for being you and being the best captain a team could have
Lots of talk on Rossi. I've been high on him since we drafted him. The issue that has always bothered me is that the coaching staff never played him in a top line role. Yes he has played there at times. But he has also spent a lot of time with guys who can't score or feed him. I'm also considering if he can overtake Ek. A 2nd liner's role is a bit different than the 1st liner. Ek fits the 2nd line role perfectly and Rossi does not. Rossi fits a potential 1st line role but if he can't put up points and cause havoc like Ek can, do we move Rossi for a guy that more fits that 2nd line role. Thats my only inner debate. But I'm not moving Rossi without a massive return. Even if I got that return I'm not sold on moving him. Something tells me there is more to his game. I think Zuccy and JoJo need to move and play Ohgren and Hedit there.
I also wouldn't rush Zeev. I know he oozes skill but he still needs to fill out and if it takes a year and a half, I'm ok waiting. Let Middleton and Brodin play the top 4 pairing role. Allow him to come in and excel from the get go like Brock did. It all depends on how this year goes.
I do agree with you guys on Gus. Lets hold his rights and get a return if he does look good and Wallstedt is just a stud. I hope the Wild take the same path as Dallas did with Otter. He turned out to be incredible. Just be patient.
God dang it Denny you rocked that opening monologue!! We are second dog to nobody! This community is super amazing. I dont care if Seth has 20 subscribers or 200,000. Ride or die right here.
I'll refrain from going in on Judds show and Jessie's comments but you nailed it on the head. Definitely some different takes over there, but I guess thats why none of us are GMs. I agree absolutely keep Rossi with zero doubt. Same for the 🚌 Never quit advocating for the kids. They need seasoning now if they are going to be our future. You both tag teamed that one so well.
We appreciate you coming on for Sundays pal! Im just going to enjoy the rest of the show now. Thanks Seth for the amazing work you have done. I know I say that all the time but I mean it. Y'all are fun to listen to and interact with everybody in the comments.
P.S. What is your favorite Blue Oyster Cult song Denny? That was a sweet story.
I like Seth, the show is "ok" I guess ;). j/k Seth, keep doing what you do and please tell Bill Guerin that thug hockey isn't what has one even ONE of the past 10 Stanley Cups. It takes skill, speed, shooting, defensive responsibility, dedication off the puck, and.. speed.
Jesse Pierce has said numerous times over the past season that Freddy is an enormous liability (length of contract) and the only contract which is worse, per her, is Marcus. I suspect she was unserious about Rossi/Gaudreau, even if she tried to find a reason to trade Rossi – remember she's a reporter and so they try to come up with story ideas.
I couldn’t agree more with Denny, we need to see what’s behind the curtain with the prospects. The best trades are those not made, I would still rather have Rossi / Boldy than Eichel who is one knock away from being done. Rossi is just coming into his own, WHY the eagerness to trade him. Where I disagree with the narrative is I think the Wild will be formidable and battling for a 3rd – 4th spot / Wildcard. Concerning the off wing, the hardest part of playing the off wing is getting the puck off the boards with a defenseman barring down on you. The shooting angle is better on the O zone of course, but many players, even with high skill have a hard time with the ring around break out. Lastly, the pipeline is filled with talent, time to turn them loose and make some moves as the season progresses. Hold tight until the cards play out in the season however, desperation creates higher value. 👍👍
Denny who you refer to as hockey pundits , don’t have the knowledge of the game like you, when I want knowledge of the game, I come to you, as you are the smartest hockey pundit on ytube keep up the good work Mary

Yeah, no need to trade Rossi. He played well last year and still on his ELC. Hopefully he takes another big step this year.
