There are only 32 HC jobs in the NHL…good for DE to land a gig. Now he has to prove himself once again with a young rebuilding team.

Not a Jackets fan,but ya gotta feel for this franchise.Think its a good hire and with a new relevant GM,maybe a step finally in the right direction.
I think Dean is a good coach, but the problem with him when he was with the Wild was the lack of adjustments that he made in the playoffs and continuing to stick guys like Freddy Gaudreau in the top 6. Guerin was/is the main problem as he didn't give Evason much to work with.
Glad to seeing Evason back in the NHL coaching position. It's fascinating that it's Columbus 2nd time upon hiring a former Minnesota Wild coach as their new HC (the first was Todd Richards 2012-15) from their past history of HCs.
Can a pro sports team hire someone other than retreads. Isn’t there someone in chl or ncaa to hire.
