   I just watched his interview when he went to the Red Wings; he sounded excited then too. I do hope he learns to play defence. I’m still thinking he’ll be on a short leash and others from Abbotsford will rotate in.

   The reason for optimism here is Petey. He’s unreal at covering for his teammates deficiencies in the d-zone. His play allowed Hog to be in the top. 6. His play allowed Kuz to flourish (until he didn’t of course).

   If Sprong can simply just be in the right spots defensively, Petey and Debrusk could get this man PAID.
