1. Will miss the Saddledome in the skyline. The new design uninspired but maybe I was asking too much from Calgary.

  2. Im glad Calgary is finally getting a new arena but the design looks like it will age about as well as milk

  3. I am thrilled for the new design! For context on the flame exterior: It's a white/grey metal finish with ribs creating fire shapes. During the night fire is projected onto it.

  4. smaller than the saddle dome? damn i thought it would bring more big artist here rather than deadmonton, guess not

  5. Things I've seen:
    1. eight bathrooms on the main concourse (Likely split four for each gender)
    2. Three restaurants and and one cafe in the food hall. (1 fancy restaurant, 1 regular sit-down, 1 sports bar)
    3. Club/Suite entries separate from the concourse so they aren't taking up space like they do in Rogers Place
    3. Saddledome Mask is relocated to the Team Store
    5. Community Rink is underground with a plaza over top

  6. The city is growing, but the number of seats is decreasing? Sound very smart. Expect sky-high ticket prices accompanied by crappy beer and food.

  7. The Scotiabank saddle dome will have the same treatment of maple leaf gardens!!! (turned into a shopping center

  8. New arenas are always awesome, good on the city of Calgary for going through with this I was afraid they would move them somewhere else in Canada or the US

  9. Ngl as an oilers fan I’m kinda pissed on how the government is helping pay for it when in Edmonton it was a lot different but I think it looks really good

  10. Name: 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
    Design: 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
0/10 will NEVER go to the stupid bank pLaCe.

  11. Ticket prices are about to go up because of the lowered capacity. I think they did you dirty in that aspect.

  12. Awesome looking building. I've only ever been to 4 games there, but each one is great memory. The name is a disappointment, but an expected one. Calgary won't be the same without the Saddledome, but a new building is sorely needed.

  13. We will now officially call this arena the "FirePLACE". Because screw these corporations for trying to make us call these arenas by their coporate names.

  14. Not a fan of the new arena. The Dome has character, this looks like every generic modern corporate building. Plus the Dome getting torn down, not a fan for sure.

  15. Edmontonian and Oiler fan here, glad to see Calgary finally get a new arena after many missteps. It will help Edmonton as well as more entertainers will want to venture up here as there are 2 large arenas that can accommodate todays big concert needs. When I was working, my office was close to Rogers Place and it was fun to see it being built.

  16. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the new coach hiring for the CBJ. Columbus may not be the biggest market but seeing more blue jackets content would be really cool

  17. They should also MUST keep the goal horn. The best in the league even as a Kraken follower

  18. So let me get this straight we will have a smaller capacity Arena than the saddledome as Calgary grows and grows for the next 40 years and it still won't be paid off by then😂

  19. This looks great!! So happy for Calgarians and Southern Alberta, in general! Losing the Flames would’ve been horrible for the region. Good things come to those who wait!

  20. Roger's Place kicks it's ass and we didn't use taxpayers money to build it only so the wealthy owners could reap the benefits!!!! GOOO OILERS GOOO !!!!
