i love the look of the exterior but the name is awful. they should make it scotiabank cauldron or dome or something cool… hell, even arena or something better than place. scotia place is brutal

My hope is the cool looking fire pattern up along the top of the place will be lit up with LEDs in a way to make it look like the fire is flickering. That would be a really neat effect and give it an even more unique look.

Will Calgary’s New Arena Parkade Entrance /vestibule area be similar to Rogers Place in Edmonton?
Rogers Place has 3 Parkade Vestibules with Elevators 🛗 ,for guests attending Oilers, Oil Kings & Concerts to use after they have their tickets 🎫 scanned & go through security check in the parkade. Wonder if Calgary’s New Arena Parkade area will be similar or not?

Can't wait for it!! The Saddledome is Iconic but as you said way past it's prime/what it was designed for. Unfortunately the Saddledome is kind of isolated and solitary to a point, If the new building can do as others have in major sports markets and be a focal point that more community projects get built around and help build/express the Identity of Calgary today/spur on other local business I think the money from tax payers being put towards it is more than worth it!
Can't wait for the Calgary taxpayers to ante up to pay for the Ice District infrastructure – or is Danielle Smith only giving money to Calgary for that?

12:41 exactly what Stampede does with Sneak a Peak. Great chance for a first run, iron out the kinks before Day 1 after parade. Stampede know what they're doing.
