"Selon Gold, les Canes et Seth Jarvis cherchent tous deux à s’engager sur une période complète de 8 ans, et bien que l’argent soit le point de friction actuel, les deux parties ont un contrat de plus de 8 millions de dollars par an. Gold suggère que les Canes et Jarvis sont susceptibles de s’entendre sous peu et spécule que le montant pourrait se situer entre 8,5 et 8,75 dollars par an."

A little rich but I don’t think anyone’s going to complain unless Jarvis literally falls off a cliff.
I like that both sides are in agreement on it being an 8-year deal.
Even if the price tag comes in a little steep right now, it’s probably better for us in the long term to lock him in for 8 years now, as opposed to doing a bridge deal for now and likely even higher AAV to keep him later.
He’s worth that price right now and hasn’t even hit his full potential imo. Dude it’s basically a mini aho and can do it all.
I understand concerns about price, but you can’t win a Cup without taking risks. Jarvy is the guy I want to bet on.
Is this not the exact same thing he said last week?
I hope Seth gets the bag but, I highly doubt GMET is willing to hand out that kind of money to Seth of all people.
Still think he comes in at the mid to upper 7’s.
That’s more than fair for Jarvis. I don’t think people realize just how ridiculous putting up 38 goals as a 22 year old while playing through a shoulder injury the whole season really is. For someone who very well may end up becoming the best player on this team within the next few years, less than $9 million per year is an absolute steal.
Geez that’s more than I was thinking but he’s one of the few guys who gets it if he wants it. Can’t afford to lose him. He’s third most important member of the roster. Slavin, Aho, then Seth.
