  1. Georgii Merkulov is probably not even a real NHL player let alone one that can play in the Bruins Top 6 at right wing or even center this upcoming season

Merkulov lacks both NHL size and NHL speed. He’s an uninspiring 5’10 & he weighs a whopping 179 pounds soaking wet

When you lack both NHL size and speed you need to be elite at least at one thing in order to stick in the league for a while

    Georgi Merkulov Profile:

    -Lacks NHL size: 5’10 / 179 pounds

-Lacks NHL speed: He’s at the very lowest end of average in terms of his skating

-He’s not an elite penalty killer: In fact, he’d never be in the mix in Boston for the PK

-He’s not elite defensively: In fact, Merkulov is at the very low end of average defensively

-He’s not elite on draws: In fact, Merkulov is actually below average at the faceoff dot

Even Merkulov’s AHL offensive numbers are even deceiving. He’s shot a ridiculous 18% in the AHL.

Do you know what David Pastrnak’s shooting% is for his career in the NHL is? It's 13%.

Thus there is ZERO chance Georgii Merkulov’s offense translates to the NHL, ZERO!!!

Merkulov will also be 24 on October 10th which is basically the beginning of the NHL season, so he’s not a “young” prospect. In fact, at this point Merkulov is a prospect that’s almost on the “aged out” side of the whole prospect conversation

Gerogii Merkulov is nothing more than Jack Studnika Part II

Because, like Studnika, Merkulov lacks both NHL size and speed and because he’s not elite at anything else, even on draws, the PK, defensively, etc…. he has no future in the NHL, just like Jack Studnika has no future in the NHL

Merkulov puts up points in the AHL because he has some offensive skill AND because the time and space he gets in the AHL allow him to do so as it’s a a league where about 2/3rds of the players playing in it, will never even have a cup of coffee in the NHL, let alone a real NHL career

The fact that Georgii Merkulov has basically been a center and or a left wing in his entire hockey life (barely a shift at right wing) shouldn’t be a deal breaker because some guys can have a lot of success on their off side in the NHL.

However, because Merkulov lacks both NHL size and speed and isn’t elite at anything else, adding playing on his off side to the mix, would only add yet another reason why Merkulov will not play many, or any games for Boston this upcoming season or any future NHL season

The Bruins real hope for a real, Top 6, 2RW this season are as follows:

Fabian Lysell or a trade, that’s it

Sure, they can put a bottom 6 guy in a Top 6 role like Morgan Geekie or Trent Frederic but they won’t get Top 6 production out of those guys because neither possess Top 6 talent

That being said, they’d be far better off going with Frederic or Geekie at 2RW over Merkulov because those two are at least one thing Georgii Merkulov will never be, a real NHL player

  2. That clippers show is mostly fiction, some of the real people have said some of the shows biggest scenes were completely made up and fictionalized.

  3. I hear you on the travel. But as a Bruin fan on the west coast I'd hate to be only able to see them every other year. I make 5-6 games a year mostly here on the west coast and evey arena is packed with Bruin fans with us seemingly outnumbering the home team

  4. Hags-Love the show- What’s your best defensive pairings for this up coming season?
PS-Was it a puck or a rake? The stitches on your forehead?? lol

  5. If you limited it to one game against the west conference, upped it to 6 games in divison, that would work you would be adding 14 games and subtracting 16 so you would need to add 2 games with someone but might as well make it against the ECF
