#montrealcanadiens #patriklaine #columbusbluejackets #jurajslafkovsky #colecaufield

  1. They have the cap space and 2 years on top 6 wouldn’t hurt the young players coming up.

If he has a good season he could be a good trade chip for when Demidov is ready to come in.

They have a hole at LW#2, Laine could slide in there with Dach & Newhook or Roy.

A young fun tight locker room could help his resurgence

  2. Elliott Tweedman Freided out?
that was awesome man – just discovered the channel, will stick around and check out the content!

  3. Hopefully not. Anyone who asks for trades twice in their career is not the kind of player we want in Montreal. Additionally, he has some sort of problem that took him to the player assistance program. Why would we want a player like this? We might as well take that salary cap space and the assets we'd trade for him and flush them down the toilet.

  4. I have a concern in that his supposed reason for wanting out of Winnipeg was he didn’t feel comfortable in the dressing room environment. How is that relevant? Montreal is to a large degree another language and culture. If he hasn’t matured or at least grown a thicker skin in the last couple years, there will be problems.

  5. ..Habs fan..no to Laine..with Dach and Newhook apparently fragile..Laine is injury prone..Get bigger and meaner..say no to prima donnas..

  6. No idea where you're from dude, but from your accent it sure as $hit ain't Montreal. Sorry but if you think this market would tolerate another whining brittle head case with delusions of grandeur to poison the growing chemistry (lookin at you alex galchenyuk and jonathan drouin et al) you need therapy. hard fuqqin NO

  7. This would be the dumbest move yet well barely worse than the Newhook trade giving away 2 good picks.Having said that IF this trade did happen I would imagine the Habs are trying to work something to not take all the salary straight up so maybe they are trying to peddle Anderson but however Columbus management would be dumb to take him.
I just can't see how this trade could imo the Habs would come out the loser even if unloading extras we have that won't get ice time anyhow it is the contract I don't like one bit for a one dimensional player.
So I have one more thing to say and that is Laine is very similar to Caufield whom the Habs threw ridiiculosu money at so both are 8 mil players with similar games.

  8. A player talked abotu several months ago that I also discussed with friends was imo a MUCH better move IF they coldl get him.I am talking about Grier who per game is also a 30 goal scorer but with more grit a better overall game and perhaps faster as well.I rather not have any one dimensional players unless they are really good at what they do example Joe Thornton the king of the boards setting up goals and the Bure's Selanne's.
When we won our last cup we had about 5 30 goal scorers and 1-2 more 20 goal scorers pro rated or that was their potential. However we also had grit as well amazing two way players and an all star goalie. This team is nowhere near achieving that kind of team we are a long ways off being a LEGIT cup contender and why Laine will not work long term.

  9. I hope not. if so maybe with vs a 3rd ^pick and they need to keep over 5 million on huis contract will never happen

  10. we can have an other junky in the team, we just finished with carey price and we still have to pay him… like I say if we get him its goig to be for a 3rd or lower and they need to keep atleast 5mil on his contract
