it’s crazy the turnaround we’ve had in terms of quality and number of prospects since HuGo took over. wtf was berg even doing when he was here lmao

And this ladies and gentlemen is how a team does a proper rebuild. Don’t try and speed things up or force something that really isn’t there. You draft well, make good trades for the future, and look at young players on the fringe. Next year is still going to be painful but when those guys in the right column get going look out.

Seeing these always makes me feel weird. I’m 26 and in my mind Hockey players can’t be younger than me since they’re pros etc. Then I see 18 y/o Demidov being a literal god. I used to grow up admiring players that were older than me and now they’re obviously younger and it’s just not right lmao

I really like the overall mix and diversity of our young players at every position

Suz – rock solid thick 2-way right shot C

Dach – 6’4 skilled playmaking right shot C/RW, could be a 2-way force too with his long harpoon stick

CC – small LW/RW pure offensive sniper, adding 2-way elements to his game

Slaf – heavy 6’3 left shot LW/RW, possession beast in the corners and along the boards, still quite skilled

Demidov – 6’0 left shot RW, dynamic edges with insane hands and IQ, potential game breaker

Guhle and Reinbacher – 6’2 2-way studs that can play heavy minutes, one for the left side and another for the right

Hutson – small but insanely skilled and smart, PP quarterback

Mailloux – 6’3 RHD wildcard, heaviest shot outside the NHL

The definition of “core” is stretched a little but this is a good group.
