#hurricanes #nhl #hockey #prohockey #professionalhockey #canes #carolinahurricanes #carolina #kochetkov #andreisvechnikov #sebastianaho #jaccobslavin #stefannoesen #teuvoteravainen #pyotrkochetkov #JalenChatfield #MartinNecas #Marty #TonyDeAngelo #AnttiRaanta #JackDrury #JordanStaal #JordanMartinook #BradySkjei #JakeGuentzel #Guentzel #Kuznetsov #EvgenyKuznetsov #letsgocanes #causechaos #nhlplayoffs #stanleycup #stanleycupplayoffs #sports #999thefan #takewarning #raiseup #BrindAmour #stanleycup #erictulsky

Despite the constant & never ending bashing from the Canes hyper-critical and dim witted fanbase, Marty Necas is a bonafide top six NHL player any day of the week. Most exciting player on the team & it's not even close. Perhaps the front office can finally take the novel approach of pairing him with legitimate top six viable linemates that are capable of supplying consistent physicality, size, grit, nasty, & point production? Unlike Jesperi Kotkaniemi who's little more than an AHL level compost pile from which the team needs to move on.
Also, am I the only one who's completely fed up with RBA's blatant & nauseating favoritism for spent & twilighting grinders like Andersen, Staal, Martinook, Carrier, & Burns? Rod's stubborn refusal to deviate from his out-moded, burn-out inducing, two-way dump & chase meat-grinder of a "system" which inevitably peaks every regular season before predictably tanking in the postseason willl only serve to hasten & ensure that this will be his final season behind the Canes bench. And who in their right mind would have awarded Carrier with a six year deal? And why was Slavin extended for eight seasons at age 31? Spare me the unwarranted bible thumping, baptist choir boy nepotism!
Seth Jarvis has thus far only posted one productive season in the NHL & even then he limped through the end of 2023-24 with significant rotator cuff & labrum injuries. Give the kid a two year bridge deal for about $5m AAV & not a penny more. No way that a lovable but entirely under-sized, tiny-tot that's not yet even RFA arbitration eligible or a UFA deserves an eight year contract extension. We've experienced what happens when these eight year deals age poorly as neither Svech or Kotkaniemi have blossomed into anything close to what was expected & advertised. Same for J. Staal's whose ten year deal was a massive over-payment for a guy that's little more than a glacial paced, bottom six, tortoise crawler with no wheels & brick hands that are incapable of scoring goals with any regularity.
Time to assemble a roster full of younger prospects that are capable of winning eventful ECF & SCF games rather than being regular season show-ponies. Please, no more tiny-tot, dwarf-sized miniature matchbox cars in the top six okay?
