  1. Glass was my pick, but honorable mentions to Novak. He came into his own in the 22-23 season finally making the roster and showed he can put up points when paired with the right guys (the line of Novak-Glass-Evangelista was really strong) and he put up 43 points in 51 games. This season he had 45 points in 71 games. He could probably get closer to that 60 point mark in that many games.

  2. I need a video where you go through the previous year's bounce back candidiates to see how many you called correctly

  3. Sheary is terrible. When he's not being conpletely carried on the top line, he sucks. Should've bought him out.

  4. for Josh Anderson it always felt like i would personally be better at aiming than him…its always either on the logo or 3 feet wide…..the pass towards him can be perfect but somehow the puck begins to bounce like a superball the moment he gets it

  5. Kapanen was the perfect choice for the Blues. He is an excellent skater. Had plenty of chances. Hopefully this is a better year for him.

  6. Your thoughts are always helpful, and yes, positive. And any criticism you give is always, always constructive. And…I absolutely agree on Copp! He is one of the few Detroit contracts that I’m disappointed with. I like him too, and I do hope that he has a bounce back year!

  7. Thompson played injured most of the season. Dylan Cozens should be the bounce back candidate on Buffalo.

  8. We have to wait and see how Norris's shoulder holds up. He's had two procedures done on it and he is 25 years old. Unfortunately, he could be one more serious injury away from never playing again. Hoping for the best though.

  9. yep, good list; having said that, i'd put Seth Jones in for the Hawks, & Aaron Ekblad for the Cats. while they were both pretty good from a strictly playing perspective, their point totals were pretty low compared to their normal production, so feel they're good candidates for bounce back seasons

  10. Once the early success ended for Anaheim, line juggling was a near constant. If Anaheim can stay healthy, they can build some line chemistry and a lot of offensive numbers should go up.

  11. 48 assists for Gaudreau ain't bad but 12 goals is ridiculous. He needs to keep the assists where they are and at least score goals in the 30's and that's kind of where his Calgary production was at except for that one freak season.

  12. Josh Anderson got everything to score a decent 25 goals. Hes big, he got speed and hes capable of scoring but the lack of effort is what cuts the line.

  13. "And I'm wearing Detroit because they've been out for so long and have to get back in right?" Cue my sad Buffalo Sabres fan noises

  14. As far as KK goes. In 22/23 he actually had a god year. He may not have showed up on the score board but as 2C with Necas and Svechnikov that line was the Canes most productive line. He started many of the plays that ended with Svech or Necas scoring. He was great in the neutral zone and in battles on the boards. If a third assist was a thing KK would have racked them up that year. Svech got hurt and the lines were changed around. For some reason last year (23/24) that line was not put back together. The line combos all year were very different. In the playoffs especialy in the second round the line combos did not make any sense from the second line down.

  15. I agree that Sheary needs to be better but the Bolts would really need Vasilevsky to bounce back to his old unbeatable self.

  16. I was going to be shocked if you had picked anyone but Tage or Cozey for the Sabres. Those two vanishing was possibly the worst thing about the biggest let down of a season the Sabres have had in a long time. At this point I'm just praying that Tage wasn't a one year wonder cuz otherwise I feel like the Sabres will have to rebuild (again) as no other player on the current roster has come close to the numbers he put up two seasons ago.

  17. I like Copp. Last year with Sprong, Veleno, Fabbri on the 4th line as a scoring line and the low defense of the top 6, that leaves Ras, Copp, Fischer as the defense focused 'shutdown' line strategically. Easy to see why his scoring is low but there was stretches last year they had great success amd were really important

  18. Tage Thompson wasn't 100% when he came back from his wrist/hand injury. He himself said he rushed back too soon so I'm confident he'll get back to 40-50 goals this season
