Not a single prospect at the top of the pyramid. It has to be cup or bust for Rutherford and company this season. Leading us to no man’s land.

Fuck me for being biased but after Šilovs performance last year I think he’s more like a tier 2. Maybe looks like a tier 3 because we have Demko, but mans has real starting NHL goaltender potential imo

> The top tier of the pyramid is for true blue-chip prospects: the types of can’t-miss players who are not only a lock to make the NHL but are likely to be legitimate stars. **We’re talking about the likes of Elias Pettersson,** Quinn Hughes, and Thatcher Demko: future first-line forwards, top-pairing defencemen, or number one goaltenders with the potential of becoming franchise stars.
> Right now, the Canucks don’t have any of those.
But we have an Elias Pettersson in our pool.

That’s actually kind of a worrisome prospect pool.
And, when you consider that we were just one of the worst teams in the league for a decade, it’s just mind-boggling that *that’s* our prospect pool right now…

a bit unrelated… I wasn’t here back then but how hyped was demko back when he was a prospect? was he projected to be *this* good?
