Sid is an Ultra superstitious person, so if the details are all ironed out, he may have set the date for signing.
He should 💯 sign in his birthday for 8.7 mil. One thing though that could be holding this up his term. Not from the Pens camp but from Sid. How much longer does he want to play? A three year deal if he cares should be enough to pass Jagr for second all time in scoring..he would just have to average around a point a game for the remainder which is highly likely for Sid and stay healthy.
I've been an 87 fan for a long time. Why's he so tied to Pitt? It's a biz, not a family. I would've sought life elsewhere a couple yrs ago
I am not worried about Sid until August 8th. if he doesnt sign on August 7th, then i will start twringing my hands. But if this is his last contract, that 87 is going to be in there somewhere. Maybe $10.87 for 3 years on 8/7?

Guessing he doesn’t want to be on a sinking ship. He’s still good. Winners hate losing. Probably waiting to see what the squad hopes are this year and what Dubas tells him the plan for next year is. He’s not signing for a full rebuild bottom 5 team.
