Not entirely serious but an interesting potential target, and also interesting that he was picked right after Podkolzin.
Canucks would probably have to add.
Coyotes fan said Soderstrom has struggled in the NHL. When he has the puck, he doesn’t know what to do with it. Soderstrom’s AHL’s plus/minus has always been minus for 4 straight AHL seasons and the 2 NHL seasons, meaning he is poor defensively while not providing much offense. Podkolzin’s first year was good and last season, he was good on the fourth line. He didn’t look lost out there like Soderstrom. Therefore, I would not do this hypothetical trade as I think Podkolzin has a greater chance of succeeding at the NHL level than Soderstrom. Soderstrom looks like guy with a high bust rate.
