  1. Marchy IS what a Boston Bruin mentality needs to be . If we have a decent season . Sign by him to a 2-3 yr deal and let him do what he does best .

  2. What they offered Chara was insulting. They offered him a slot as a 7-8th dman. This was after the previous year him playing 2nd or 3rd most ATOI. All he wanted was to be an every day nhl. He didn't mind being bottom pairing minutes. He just wanted to play. And he was an everyday player the next year. Had himself a decent season and was also good in the playoffs. The Krug situation seems like it played out the same as the DeBrusk situation. The team offered him a take it or leave it deal. In Krug's case it was before the season even began. They didn't take those deals and kept trying to negotiate. But the Bruins stuck to their guns. It was take it or leave it and it was left. So those guys all parted ways. I get why they did it. But those sorts of ugly transactions can have lasting ramifications. For example Krug's agent is the same guy who reps Swayman. It's entirely possible part of the constant issues in signing Swayman for Boston could be that agent taking hardline stances. Him making taking it or leave it offers and not negotiating.

  3. they have to keep Marchy at all costs!he probably has 3 more years at the most.the need to start drafting top scoring wingers and get rid of sweeney who has traded away so many high draft picks.a new GM is desperately needed as they don't know a thing about talent or taking the best players.most like only all defensemen.still listening to harry sinden's bs that defense is most important.

  4. Brad Marchand would pay the Bruins to keep playing in black & gold!

This is a goooood question. He always said he wasn't going to take more AAV than Patrice. I see a performance bonus contract… this season is going to determine the rest of his hockey future.

I like what Marchand represents in a hockey player.
Always trying to get better- never satisfied.

Not sure he's actually ever going to recover from his hip surgery – I've noticed his shorthanded goals and biggest spurts of energy happen at the beginning of games lately… When his hips are fresh and ready to salsa.

But the way he has come in as a 71st draft, it wasn't automatic magic for him – most newer fans don't get it – they think he was a top draft pick.

The boy has grown up into a man!
We all know we're watching puberty on ice!

And his wife wants him to stay playing!

    Imagine having that around 24/7!
    😮

Good stuff. This is indeed a very good question

    Thanks for the review.

  5. Love Marchand, but at 35 years old and coming off a surgery from a year ago, I don’t know how much quality hockey is left in the tank? I’d be careful with the length of years to an extension.
