  1. I say give him till the trade deadline to prove himself. If not, bite the bullet and trade him. But on the condition that the Leafs gave him a fair chance to progress and learn as a player.

  2. Question: If Robertson is as good as you think, then why arn't teams offering a trade? You would think Dallas would be willing to trade to join with his brother.

  3. Robertson is still a kid, he’s homesick that’s why he’s requested a trade, so the perfect trade partner for this would be Anaheim Ducks and they have a player in a similar boat as Robertson so I’d propose a trade between those two
He’s from Pasadena which is really close to Anaheim

  4. I think the best mentor for Danford is Tanev. From everything I’ve heard. His game is very similar to Tanev. Danford also blocks shots as well.

I’ve also read that he is a huge leader. Very well liked by other players around the League. Wears his blood guts and sweat on his jersey.

And he has a very good first pass. And defensive dman.

That’s why I think a good mentor to Danford would be Tanev. He’s also a RH shot.

    Great pickup by the Buds.

Oh. And don’t expect big numbers out of him tho. But that could change. Stranger things have happened. When was the last time the Leafs drafted a Danford type?

  5. Other great news on the goalie front.

Their 2020 draft pick in the 4th round I believe is coming to NA from Russia.

    Artur Akhtyamov

  6. He can score and the leafs need depth scoring he's a bit injury prone but as he bulks up a bit that could diminish imo the leafs keep him unless they can get that solid 3rd line centre with him as part of the trade

  7. DT Brown had Domi 1st line RW Marner 2nd line RW with Tavares and WIlly on the 3rd and I'm not mad at that at all. I really like the idea of someone like Willy driving the 3rd line and it should open it up for him. As I sepak you are talking about Marner Johnny T and Robertson lol

  8. Regarding Nick Robertson – I could not agree with you more. You are absolutely right and it would be a huge mistake to let him go to another team and watch him get more ice time and really succeed. It would just be another example of the Leafs having no foresight on the potential of their players.

  9. I agree 100%.
He'd score 35+ goals playing with Bedard.
Get him with JT and Marner. He'll score. Then, if he still wants out, trade him at the deadline for a much higher return when he's on pace for 30-35 goals, which I believe he will, given the opportunity.

  10. Get Robertson out, don't need players who don't want to be here, he has talent and maybe he can realize it elsewhere, we need players that can be more physical

  11. I'm sorry but that marner Robertson tavares line is dogshit because they have zero physical capabilities, none of the 3 will do the dirty work in the corners, mcmann is a better fit than Robertson, he can score and he's huge and physical

  12. Not a fan of Robertson, i think he should be moved if the Leafs can get a fair return. I think there is too much bad feeling between Robertson and Leaf management to keep him around now

  13. So mathematically speaking, if Robertson were to play 17 minutes a night on average, playing a full 82 games, those 14 goals becomes 30. Pretty impressive…

  14. I can’t blame Robertson wanting out. Sounds like what you mentioned with Mariner and Taveres with Robertson May just work. Todd Mullin
