Potentiel d’échange pour Ehlers ?

https://heavy.com/sports/nhl/detroit-red-wings/trade-pitch-ehlers-jets-nhl/

Je ne sais pas si c’est fiable ou non. Je viens de le voir défiler.

It’s a little much for a potential rental.

It’s around what Ottawa paid for Debrincat if not more.

Not saying he wouldn’t improve our top 6 but I don’t love that log jam for Kasper and Danielson.

I don’t think the Wings even have $6M in cap space if they are hoping to sign Raymond, Seider, and potentially Berggren (though he’d be gone in the potential trade).

No, I don’t think Heavy.com is a reliable news source for hockey or the NHL.

It’s not a trustworthy source, but I don’t hate that trade package. I just don’t know how he’d fit under the cap.

I don’t know why I find it irksome people downvote posts like this. It’s a simple question.

  5. Why do people keep pushing the idea of a jets rebuild?

They just signed Scheiffle and Helly to deals that kick in this year, long term big dollars. Why would they do that, and then trade Ehlers for some futures and bergren who might not actually be an impact NHLer.

I read that article the other day. Completely ridiculous scenario.

  7. If we’re spending at this point, it needs to be on defense. Scoring away your problems makes for fun games to watch but it doesn’t win cups.

Jesus christ. Stop posting fan trades.

If there’s a commitment to re-sign him in the works then yeah I’d probably do that trade. However, this doesn’t strike me as the kind of deal Yzermans going to try to make this season.

  10. I saw this yesterday and almost spit out my Vernors

Ehlers is a good player, but where would the cap space come from and why would the wings give up that much for a 2nd line center one a one year deal

This kind of article seems like click bait – even jets fans don’t like this because it doesn’t address their needs either

Says in the title that it’s a trade pitch, it’s just a concept during the dog days of the off season. Personally, I think it’s a bad trade. I don’t think Ehlers moves the needle enough to ask for that price. There’s cap space issues and the wings biggest needs are on the defensive side of the puck. Why not trade pitch for a top 2 Dman at least?

That was based of a fan “I wish” comment. Trade makes 0 sense giving up all that for a rental player who wouldn’t fit in our cap anyways.

I’m sorry, this article is using a user- submitted post from puckpedia as evidence? Holy shit haha

    Their inside scoop:
« The website PuckPedia has a new tool called PuckGM that lets users create their own trades, and one user proposed a deal that would see the Red Wings acquiring Ehlers. »

Im not an ehlers guy but that’s probably what he costs. Still idk how you make the cap work if you add him.

This is a « news » story about a ficticious trade proposal that a fan posted online.

I’m not sure why we would.
    1) We don’t have the cap
    2) if we did have the cap it would be used on another defenseman
    3) this is a ton for the wings to give up, and I still don’t think it’s enough to get him
    4) we’d also have to extend him at that price for it to be worth it, which means long term we’d have a hefty portion of our cap already spent and we’re not even in the playoffs yet.
