1. Can you please tell me where he was quoted saying he loves the big cities? I'm on Wild website, Wild youtube, Wild reddit and Athletic and i've never seen anything remotely close to that. Thanks.

  2. My grade D- I'll say it again. I think Guerin should have been canned for all that front office garbage last yr. I hope he's grown as a person after the team mandated anger management counseling. Look around the league. No one hands out the NMC, NTC's like GMBG does. No even close. He dismantled an old boy club when he came in….and turned around and just created a diff old boys club? I tired quickly of his, arrogant, i know more than you ever will shtick. We'll see how this year goes with essentially the same team as last season.
    Go Wild!

  3. Id love to see Guerin hire a proper GM to handle contract negotiations and cap management with Guerin continuing to handle trades and Brackett handling the scouting and draft. *Until attendance takes a major decline Guerin isnt going anywhere. There are no changes until there's a negative impact on the Owner's pocketbook.

  4. Totally left the IN BILLY G WE TRUST bandwagon. He shouldn't have anything to do with contract negotiations. If he doesn't get Karill Kaprizov extended next summer he needs to be excorted immediately out of town.

  5. Unlike Marion Gaborik they can't afford to let Karill walk away for nothing. But he does have a nmc that started on July 1st.

  6. Bill Guerin gets a solid F. Terrible contract after terrible contract. 44 trades, only 4 can even be considered good, and 2 of them by accident. Lousy drafts. Bad coaches. The franchise is no closer to winning the Cup now than when he took over. Guerin has been an abomination. Also, this idea that there is cap space next summer is a fallacy. There is no room at all unless Guerin foolishly plans to get rid of Rossi or Khusnutdinov.

as of right now, for the 2025-26 season, the Wild have 15 players signed for a total of $72,953,332. The cap is likely to go up from $88,000,000 to $92,000,000 for that season. That leaves $27,546,668 left to sign 9 players.

Rossi, Khusnutdinov, Wallstedt are all RFAs following this coming season. If they have repeats of last year, or perform better, which is entirely likely, the contracts they will be able to command based on their comps around the league are…..

    Rossi: 8 x 7.5M per

    Marat: 4 years, 4.5M per

Wallstedt: 2 years, 1.25M per, could be more depending on how much NHL time he gets this year.

    that adds up to $12,250,000

Now you're at $85,453,332 spent on 18 players. Which means, there is only $6,546,668 left to sign 5 more players.

1 of those contracts will be Yurov's entry level deal

1 of those contracts will be Haight's entry level deal

1 of those contracts will be Heidt's entry level deal

1 of those contracts will be Buium's entry level deal

So now you're down to needing 1 more player and only $2,500,000 or so to sign them. That spot will need to be defenseman as there will only be 6 signed.

I guess just go with what they have, Lambos or Hunt.

  7. difference between Macklin and Connor is Macklin is actually good at hockey. He's a legit 200 foot player, while Alexandre Daigle lite is a 15 foot player.

  8. I have a hole-in-one. Par 3, 158 yards. I played tons of golf in high school. It was something easy on my body after the hockey season ended, and before summer hockey started.

  9. I have been saying all summer, Wild aren't making the playoffs for at least 4 more years. Kaprizov will be gone. Boldy is terrible, and Kaprizov won't be here to make him look good anymore. Boldy has 3rd line talent yet is getting paid 1st line money and getting 1st line playing time.

The 2 best centers the Wild have ever had are currently on the roster, just being misused. Khusnutdinov is Datsyuk 2.0. JEEK needs to be the 2nd line center. Rossi needs to be on the top line with the Russians. Most of the roster needs to be purged. Wild are in such rough shape.

Ohgren needs to start in Iowa. The roster down there is loaded. He would get some much needed professional seasoning.

Heidt needs to start in the NHL.

  10. Can he explain his plan that he had? He created cap space hell, yet didnt try and tank for prospects to build around Kirill. Instead he signed some free agents that took away playing time from young guys to get into the first round of the playoffs and lose. Trade for Fleury who played awful vs the Blues, and lost all momentum against the Stars in game 2 the next year. Another year of cap space hell which will lead into an off season where will anyone blame Kaprizov if he doesnt resign?

  11. Players don't want to play for Minnesota? It has nothing to do with Minnesota. Players wan't to play for a winning franchise that has great players to play with. The Wild have never had that. I assure you most players would have zero problem playing in Minnesota if the franchise was actually good.
