Gilly Lock would be a good signing if he would sign cheaper to be on a good team.
Honestly if Gilly Lock could stay available later in the season, and only play half a season for us, he would be well rested and a good boost when we start fielding injuries and need that experience going towards the playoffs.
Honestly with a bunch of rookies where play can be inconsistent and unreliable adding a great veteran db to play and learn next too can be huge for development. Sure playing time does more but developing skills in practice and the applying them is better than having to develop skills because your getting burnt because your not ready yet. Most rookie corners aren’t great and that is fine what matters is how the rest of their career goes
I fine giving Gilmore whatever he wants for a 1 year deal. We have the cap space and he would be a great addition to our secondary. Could easily be the difference between a sb lost or win
I’m fine giving Howard 23 million for 1 year though I won’t give him that on multiple years but for 1 year to help us win a ring before some of our bigger contracts take effect would be good use of cap space

Anything you got from him was a bonus. I’d rather have Vildor or Gilmore.
