   I really want Bogdan to pan out, even if only for his name.

   I also feel like this kid could be a real sleeper in our depth pool, where someone with a higher trade value gets shopped, fans lose their minds, and the Big Bog shuts everyone up.

   Glad he has 2 more seasons to his contract, with the logjam at D, he’s at the ideal place, especially as a captain under larionov

   His right up reminds me a bit of Markov. Not the best skater and not the biggest player but always competitive and in the right spot even the way they described his shooting is more light wrist shot looking for rebounds or tips

   Isn’t he also an intellectual type? I think I saw pictures of him at the ballet or opera. Look like a intelligent fella and I like that.

   > He is too smart to not still make an impact. The skating issues are what limit the role he could get on an NHL team… At the moment, Konyushkov projects as a bottom-pairing defenceman who can play in all situations.

   We need a 3rd pairing RHD. And he can handle extended time on the PK, that’s even better. If he can support the attack on the PP for smart rebounds Slaf/Demidov/CC can bang in, why not (2nd unit with a 3F 2D formation).

   This means we can still expect Guhle to eat minutes on the right or Strubble/X/Harris to play on their off sides for the next 2 seasons.
