He barely wore the ‘A’ ?
he never played as a captain so good on him
Biggest mistake for the Laffs this year… That "C" stands for Courage, Conscience and moreover CHARACTER….. He has no Character….. SC…. 20…67
So IMO I think it makes sense to have JT be the captain first and now transfer it to Auston. People forget Matthews was only in the Junior year of his career (3rd year) when John came to Toronto so imo it made sense to have an older player as captain even though att I thought Morgan Rielly was going to be named captain (mostly because the Captain Morgan memes and promo opportunities were right there). Did the minor car offense affect Matthews captaincy? probably. But I dont think it was a slam dunk Matthews was going to be Captain before JT arrived. As I recall didnt they wait till almost opening day to announce the captaincy?
it does not matter as they have to prove it they can win in playoff, otherwise, nothing changes at all, except the ticket price.
Good on Tavares. That's leadership. It's the right time.
Marner butt hurt lol trade marner and JT open this team right up acquire some determination to win not just pat stats against last place teams
I've heard Tavares is being shipped to Detroit for Lucas Raymond.
The first Leaf Captain to have the C removed in almost 40 years.
its a bad move ,mr no show play-offs austin is no good for a captain
As long as Domi wears the 'A' I'm happy
