Glad we didn’t have to give up a second. That’s a win.

At first glance I wasn’t too happy that we attached picks, but looking at it now it makes complete sense. Someone had to be moved to make room for RFA signings Tommer and Pars, and it was likely either Glass or Fabbs. We had next to no leverage in a deal like this especially with Glass coming off a poor year and making nearly 3 mill for league min production. The 6th round pick is whatever, and the 3rd isn’t that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. Frasca likely will never see the nhl for those wondering, just organizational depth. Sad to see Glasser go, but we all know this was likely to happen
Disappointeddonkey
Was really hoping he would be a good part of this team’s future after the season before last but he was incredibly invisible for most of this last season. Hope he does well on his new team he seems like a great guy

I know others have said this trade has negative value, and I think they are right.
It’s really a shame Trotz couldn’t have gotten a bag of used pucks for Glass, bc they’d have more potential of sticking around than Frasca.
Honestly great for Glass. He will get a ton of ice time because his competition is a cardboard cutout of Gentzel and Malkin on a Walmart mobility scooter.

Glass had a respectable contract year and the team had to go one way or the other. They have no Centers close. It was a no-brainer. They had to re-sign him and they went for a two-year bridge deal.
It didn’t pay off. They got almost nothing for $2.5 mil last year and couldn’t afford to carry him this year even if they wanted.
What got Glass, and Tomasino as well, was not a lack of production or what they did not do. Which frankly wasn’t much.
It’s what they did do, namely make a lot if mistakes. If they can’t trust you to do the right thing, especially defending, they can’t even play you on a decent team.
When they called up Parsinnen late, it seemed like Glass was done.
They got some minutes out of Glass over the years, so they came out marginally better than PHI and Vegas in the original Ellis deal. It was a risk they took that didn’t really pay iff much but was a better fate than the other teams had.

How good is Frasca? Should I be happy or pissed
