#EdmontonOilers #Oilers #StLouisBlues #Blues #NHL

  1. rumor is Broberg wanted out of Edmonton so likely we were not signing him anyways. Cya

  2. First rule of business is the status of Evander Kane. They need to decide on when he is going to have surgery (it's pretty much a given that he will need surgery at this point), so they can put him on LTIR at the earliest, and then decide on which of the offer sheeted players they want to keep for this coming season ahead of next Tuesday morning.

  3. I don't really see this as a disaster or anything like it. It's a kick in the butt; no question about that, but losing either or both is not the end of the world. They're "nice-to-haves" not "need-to-haves." Both are replaceable at some point in the future.

  4. Chiarelli is up to his old tricks in STL signing unproven rookies to outrageous amounts, it’s the reason he got fired in Edmonton lol Broberg has been plagued with miner injuries the last couple of years so maybe he’s injury prone, let him go, not worth 4.5m

  5. Leafs thinking they had the biggest news this week with the "C" switch

    Blues: Hold my beer….

  6. Broberg and Holloway got lowballed hard by Oilers management there should be no shock they took offsheets, both players also want proof that the Oilers management actually wants them

  7. If they go, who are the next men up? It would solve a portion of the cap issue and might open up more options on making a trade instead of a salery dump?

  8. So I got a good question, can you trade them to another team before you match the offer, so the other team can match….???

  9. Managing a salary cap must be a nightmare. And it gets harder the better you do because the players have probably played well and want to be compensated.

  10. Broberg and Holloway worth keeping, but at half of what hey were offered by SLB at most, so under circumstances, they should leave regardless of Kane LTIR, Ceci trading, etc. Keep the money to acquire later 4D. Nurse moving out of Edmonton long overdue, if in any way possible, but not to sign Broberg, he should go anyways.

  11. Broberg wanted out already. Pretty certain Edmonton will let him go for the 2nd round compensation. Holloway they should match. It's about 800,000 more than expected but he's a guy worth hanging onto vs only receiving a 3rd round pick back.

  12. Too funny lol. Bowman going from one mess to another mess. He’s about to make a name for himself in Edmonton. Oilers have been screwing Broberg around for a few years now so no surprise he jumped ship.

  13. There might be another disaster on the way. What if Bouchard won’t sign an extension. Bouch could wait a year and sign somewhere else for 15M a year. So maybe Oilers should trade him while they have the opportunity.
