1. Yes! 😎 Love the segment. It fuels my inner memorabilia degenerate behavior😅 Tickets and autos for me. Your game used collection is sick, and the rest of it obviously. The whistle is super random and cool – certainly one of a kind/unique. I dig it.

  2. Cool stuff, Ace. Yeah I agree Marty was robbed of that Conn Smythe….It's always been the Devils vs. the world. Maybe the judges just hated Scott Stevens for that hit on Kariya, and they felt they had to give the Ducks something. Anyway, it would be nice for the 30th anniversary of winning our first cup, if we win another. Not expecting anything after last season though. Do you think Markstrom is on par with Marty?

  3. Hey runnin ace. I got something interesting 4 u. You know how you think that Marty deserved the conn scythe trophy and they gave it to giguere and the fans booed for him, well you might wanna consider this and i just did research on this too. JS beat Marty in goals against average with a 1.62 compared to Marty’s 1.65. He also beat Marty with a save percentage of .945 compared to Marty’s .934 of course leading to JS getting more saves than Marty. You also have to consider that he gave up fewer goals with only 38 goals allowed and Martin gave up 41 goals. OHHHH remember this? He even gave up a center ice goal with a free chance to make a save and still gives up that goal. He even got pulled in game 6 with a 5-1 blowout loss and one of those goals he gave up was when Paul Kariya was disoriented. That’s probably why they gave the conn scythe trophy to JS over Martin. All you have to do to fine these stats is to look up JS 2003 playoff stats and Marty 2003 playoff stats. Then you click on the first link you seen and it has all the playoff stats for every team.

  4. Summer slacking is fine. The season is closing in and you’re gonna be busy again.
Man, every time you break out some memorabilia my jaw drops. Those pucks and net are sweet! So is the whistle. Oddball stuff is always fun to talk about and the chances of owning something like that is super rare. My Bastian and Lazar helmets should be in Wednesday. Can’t wait to open the box when I get home from working out of town. It’s not the caliber of memorabilia you have, but it’s Devils history nonetheless.
Just found out I’ll be working out of town till the end of September, which is nice, since it’s going to make time fly. From BFE Florida to Prague! The season is coming fast, LGD!

  5. As much as I wish Marty got the Smythe in 2003, the only areas he was better than Giguere in, was in having one more Win and two more shutouts. Giguere had the better GAA 1.62 to Marty's 1.65. And Giguere had the higher SV% with .945 to Marty's .934, so it's somewhat understandable.

Even with that said though, Marty did shutdown Giguere and the Ducks by shutting them out three times in seven games in the Finals. On top.of that, Marty and the Devils actually Won the Cup….. the Ducks did not. Personally I hate when the Conn Smythe is given to a player on the losing team. IMO it should only be awarded to a player on the winning team. But whatever…. I think Marty would rather have the Stanley Cup. Me too. 😂

  6. Giguere stats in those playoffs are BETTER than Brodeur's. Stop with that Conn Smythe bias. Giguere got it on merit

  7. Do you think the Devils are trying to land Brady Tkuchuk, which is why they haven’t signed Dawson Mercer yet because he would be included in the trade?

  8. Ace knows!
I was at Game 7 with ya bud. Marty set the ALL time playoff season shutout record, including 3 the Finals, including Game 7!
And Marty does not win due to the LOSER goalie.
    Pure trash 🗑

It was a California hockey participation trophy 🏆.
Remember, to date, California hockey had never won anything serious yet.
Marty was clearly & most definitely better.
