Broberg is an overpay but it’s only 2 years it’s not like it’s going to cripple them if it goes south. They clearly prefer Broberg by giving him that amount and with Krug most likely missing the season he has a good shot to prove himself there.

It was a real fricken curve ball in Oil land !! They are going after Broberg !! They won’t get Holloway ! The Oil were looking around a million or so each for Broberg and Holloway !! We are up against the cap, BIGTIME !! Rumors are Ceci may be traded, hearing maybe also Kulak, that would really mess things up !! So I hope they keep both because lots of development time and effort went into these two players !! These offer sheets are Super-rare , so it was very unexpected ….i don’t see them letting either go away, forsure Holloway will be kept, it’s sure screwed up the Fanbase !! Broberg had been asked to be traded, earlier in the year, because he wanted to play somewhere in the NHL , not sit on the farm …..

This is an awesome move by the Blues. Not a Blues fan… So I see your point. But as a fan in general its what we want to see. We want to see some BLOOD. And we got it. This is good entertainment. Not if your an Oilers fan and we'll see how it works for the Blues.

Simply put, I don't think you match. You take two picks and you use them at the deadline to get another key D man and go from there. I think it is not a good idea to take that Broberg contract because it will cause chaos next year when you NEED to have both of your elite players under contract. (1 of whom will have a massive wage rise just in time for 2025.
You mean Armstrong drops a Karma Bomb on the the Bowman Oilers. In 36 years of following sports I have never turned so hard on a team from all in to full on hate than the Oilers after bring in Bowman. Just why? He couldn't even make it work when it mattered toward the end in CHI which is where they are getting EDM with hugs deals pending. Oilers can get bent. I've never liked the Blues more.
