Rielly and Marner have to be gone. Get what you can in assets and legitimate players for Rielly because let's face it, we're not going to be able to resign him after this next season and IMO the leadership of this team needs an overhaul.
As for Marner, someone who is again, part of the "leadership" of this team. Honestly, if you can't make a trade happen, somehow someway, I would leave him exposed to the Kraken. Freeing up that cap hit would be massive for the potential of what can be done here. You can't have a guy that's part of your leadership who on a bad play, or several bad plays, goes and fucking cries in the penalty box or sits on the bench with his head down sobbing. No fucking excuse for that. You're supposed to be the heart of this team being a hometown kid and what kind of message does that spread throughout the locker room when you fucking cry in the box rather than get mad, get dialed in and engage that extra gear of "fuck it, let's get shit done" LIKE EVERY OTHER HIGH CALIBER LEADER IN THIS LEAGUE.
Willy can move back up with Matthews no problem, he showed he's ready to step up this series. I don't know if Hyman comes back.

The bottom 6 is a fuckin crap shoot. I would really like Spezza back. Thornton and Simmonds were supposed to add that physicality and grit for the playoffs and IMO they just didn't show up either. They did nothing.
Sandin, Brodie and Muzzin can all play big minutes. Liljegren may be able to take the step next year. Dermott has to be gone. We need a big stay at home defensemen, and a 2-way both of which can move the puck well. Bogosian played pretty well for us all season I would try to resign him.
We need a more than serviceable back-up behind Campbell.
Also, keep Keefe as HC for 1 more year. Every other part of that coaching staff needs to be changed, except maybe the PK. Malholtra showed and absolute unwillingness to alter those PP units and he completely screwed the powerplays up. One of the best PP units in the league to one of the worst in a year.
But yeah, as you can see. BIG changes need to happen or there's no hope. As great as they were in the regular season this year, these playoffs exposed absolutely every single one of their flaws.

I dont know what is going on , but they just dont seem to have a rush game , their style is so predictable. dump it in , chase it. setup, pass it around and shoot. their game is so easy to defend in the playoffs when things tighetn up.
