If he gets 20 goals and 40 points that’s great. He’s still only 21 I’m not expecting a 60+ point season even if he’s a mainstay in the top 6.

If he can learn to play more aggressively in front of the net like he does with his board play, he’s going to see more success. He doesn’t have the best shot in the world.
He also showed some swagger and confidence in the playoffs. He wasn’t afraid to get physical and chirp the other team.
He has some great tools, now he’s gotta start putting it together, I say he does it.
CancerFreeLeafs
No, he peaked in his rookie season. 🙄
He’s not Teemu.
hotguy42xD
I think he’s going to break out this year in berubes system
Mashdrop
I think he will. He’s improved every year so far and he’s one of the few guys on the team who elevates his game in the playoffs.

I think so, he’s a fuckin beauty. And I think he’s a guy that can gain a lot just from watching tape and getting better at thinking the game given his skillet.
reggierock2010
Contract year, he’ll probably go off with our luck lol. Good problem to have though.

🤷🏼

If he gets net front PP time instead of JT I could see him having a monster year. He won’t get much more than 20/20 playing in the top six without much PP time though.

Level of consistency is what separates good from great hockey players. I hope he finds it this year but I think it will probably be next year. Best guess is a slight improvement this year followed by an offseason where he pushes himself into the next level

Knies played well last season helping to create scoring chances and this year I hope that he has the puck luck to go with it.

He was one of our best players in the playoffs. Knies is a gamer.

That’s a legit highlight reel… some really impressive high end plays throughout it.
But damn, whoever that Matthews guy is in some of those clips looks like he might be kinda good…

27 goals for knies wouldn’t shock me.
ukie7
Knies’ strength comes out in the playoffs, would be interesting to see a level up from him but also maybe best to avoid injuries
WillNytheScoringGuy
I like him on matthews wing he confuses players because he has a similar body type and he has high skill that he can bury in tight.
GWsublime
Yeah I think he will. It’ll depend a bit on what they do with their forward group but I think his conditioning will be better for a full 82 games this year.
