82 $ c’est de la folie pour des frais d’importation mon Dieu. J’espĂšre que ça vaut le coup pour ces chaussures. Mais c’est probablement la derniĂšre fois que j’achĂšte au magasin de l’Ă©quipe en tant que Canadien.

    Ouch. Yes, I get the same problem too, when I buy from the Ducks team store and ship them to my BC address. They use UPS by default, which dings you every time for this stuff. And shoes? Customs will almost always charge you for that.

    Next time, try calling the store to ask that they ship via US Postal Service (which has a lower chance of this happening).

    Another plan is having a US shipping address if you’re close to the border. On my end, I use a shipping receiving service in Point Roberts, Washington (about 40 minutes from my house), so I get it shipped there, drive across the border, give the shipping place $5 for pickup, then bring it back across the border myself. I did that for the latest Ducks clearance sale and probably saved over $100 (which is what UPS would’ve charged me).

    If you don’t live near the border, I am always willing to help out with this. I’ve helped out other Ducks fans in Canada with shipping-related stuff before.
