I hope the Tigers get a little daring when they hunt free agents this winter. Bring back Jack Flaherty. There's ethically nothing wrong with re-signing a free agent you've just traded. But Flaherty publicly admitted he loved playing in Detroit and he appreciated what pitching coach Chris Fetter did in resurrecting his career. I'm looking at a rotation of Skubal, Flaherty, Olson, Montero and Mize and seeing post-season. The Tigers have a very low payroll right now and can afford giving Flaherty five or six years as well as a contract extension for Skubal.
