  1. 3 thoughts I had watching this

1 – Jack scored a ton of meaningful goals. Lots of 1st goals of the game, goals while tied, and goals leading/trailing by 1.

2 – The regular season pace looks almost laughable compared to the playoffs. I know guys put their bodies on line in the playoffs, but the difference is really noticable watching the playoff highlights compared to regular season

3 – Such a great year, so much more than I expected. It was really a pleasure having the games playing on the side while I was working night shifts, made it so much more bearable.

  2. Time to hit the gym and get Jacked Up! Now you need more strength…especially your back…those cross checks all year need some more muscle back there kid…

  3. He will get better like Nico, Nico filled out finally put on some weight look at him now, a point per game player just about looking at his stats from last year. What’s scary is Hughes will fill out too and be harder to play against. Future is bright LGD

  4. This kid is SUCH a sniper… watching him pick corners all day is so satisfying. Also I have seen him score from the corner on the goal line top shelf so many times when he was younger…. Something that always impresses me. I love watching him play bc he’s so smart.. he reads the ice so well and makes for some special hockey. Love to see him finding his way in the league and can’t wait to see more from him next year

  5. If he continues on his upward trajectory, Hughes will go down as the greatest forward in Devils history, which is saying something.

Patrick Elias was a beast for a long time, but Hughes can surpass him if he stays healthy.

  6. I think the Devils have a cup in this decade. This year and the next are to build playoff experience for the young group, and then they’ll have the raw talent along with the postseason knowledge to start making deep runs. LGD

  7. BUT NOT COMPETITIVE ENOUGH TO GO INTO A CORNER, AND DIG OUT THE PUCK.. OT THROW A BODY CHECK OR TAKE A BODY CHECK TO MAKE A PLAY.. HE CRUISES AROUND THE LOOKING FOR LOOSE PUCKS…. ONE DEMSIONAL PLAYER, NO SIZE OR STRENGTH EITHER…

  8. Dawson Mercer plays so much like prime Parise, ik we hate that guy, but we love to see his play style reincarnated in Dawson

  9. My God, he SUCKS! Another POOR selection, at NUMBER ONE, by NJ. We absolutely blew it, by not selecting (played with MEN, Kappo Kaako.) If you are looking to literally fall-out-if-your-seat laughter, may I suggest watching Rangers Draft Day, where Rangers fans, CHEERED as New Jersey selected that overrated little boy, Jack Hughes. It left the highly coveted Kaako, wide-open, ready to take his rightful place, amongst Rangers ALL-TIME greatest players. Yes, yes, the benefit of hindsight means everything, but that does nothing to diminish the ensuing hilarity.

  10. boooooooooo canes won freely rangers actually had 2 less playoff wins then the devils

  11. Devils F Jack Hughes’ 2023-24 projected stats:
    93 goals
    164 assists
    257 points
    +125 plus/minus

  12. I love how often he looks to the fans after scoring. I can forgive the Yankee hat at the end just because he's so good.
