  1. When players sign offer sheets I think of a saying when people would threaten quitting. Ask them to take a handful of water out of a bucket… see the difference… that’s how much you will be missed. Don’t blame the players for the short term gain though in a business that your career can end at any time. At least by Tuesday the speculation will be over.

  2. Such a terrible situation. But honestly I hope they match on broberg. We need defence and holloway is replaceable with our talent up front

  3. I really liked this kids character, he seems all heart. Bummed it didn't work out for him in Van, I hope he finds his way, (even if it is in Edmonton).

  4. Oilers were okay while Holloway was knee injury during the turnaround season. when he comes back and plays with Leon he was good. now that Leon has two new wingers, Holloway wouldn’t want to be a 4th liner. I have a feeling it’ll be hamblin or podz will take the spot 😁

  5. Good Luck with Pod, why Canucks trade him I don't know, Pod is full of potential, wish he could be 30+ goal scorer wearing Edmonton jersey.

  6. His game is stuck- needs a change- good kid- could surprise a little bit to the upside and being Russian Edmonton will seem just like Novosibirsk -back to the KHL when the war ends is my projection

  7. Let holloway walk we have third and forth line replacements match broberg hopefully he has a good season then trade him next off season get some value for him he gonna want too much to stick around.

  8. I was wrong. Never thought Vancouver of all teams would do a deal with the Oilers. Anything is possible. Parallel universe type of thing. Maybe the multiverse. To me this doesn't make sense. Why trade a player who might just need a fresh start to your hated arch-rival? Hopefully, this is all part of some other moves that are going to happen. Like to keep Holloway too. Losing him stings. But if it comes down to it, I still have to choose keeping Broberg. Too much pressure for me. Don't think I'll tune in again until Wednesday when Patrick will give us the great news that the Oilers have managed to keep both players. By the way, whatever happened to Kane going on LTIR?

  9. This is a terible move if the Oilers go through with it. Holloway is an easy 20 – 30 goal guy in the top six, and that's where he was headed.

  10. Vasily Podkolzin is a good solid pick up for the OILERS. This has nothing to do with PHILIP BROBERG AND DYLAN HOLLOWAY. Ceci was jus traded

  11. Math Time Kiddies: So Kane LTIR at $5,125,000 plus moving Josh Brown to the Bake (another 1,000,000) LESS Broberg at $4,580,917 Less newly acquired Podkolzin at 1 million gives us $544,083 on the PLUS side of the cap less the almost $400,000 we were over before) still gives us about 144K to the plus side and we replace Holloway, Keep Broberg, Keep Ceci and Kulak while moving down an 8th Defender (Josh Brown) letting us field a 13 forward, 7 D, 2 Goalie squad if I read this right while being Cap compliant. The biggest Gotcha for us has to be how long Kane will be on LTIR. If it's not until playoffs something BIG has got to give. Take care all.

  12. These moves are separate from HOLLOWAY AND BROBERG. They just traded CODY CECI .
Oilers trade Cody Ceci and a 3rd rd pick in 2025 to San Jose. Return is 24-year-old, right shot Dman Ty Emberson (3rd rd pick in '18).
Room now to retain Broberg. Suspect Holloway a Blue, with Podkolzin addition. Although I doubt they would let HOLLOWAY GO. He contributed a lot to the Stanley Cup run …but if he goes to the blues. He’ll be great for them. It’s a loss for us-thank the former GM
