@Predators de Nashville

Classic preds over cooking our prospects and now we have to sell him as a distressed asset. Or waive like tolvanen lol

  2. mxrcarnage

Personally I don’t want him starting over Saros, but if he’s this impatient I guess he’s gotta go. Hes not ready to be a starter on a successful NHL team, but maybe he can start on a struggling team that needs him. I was excited, this stinks

  3. -August_West-

Fuck this dude if that’s the case. He’s not ready and couldn’t wait one more season?

  4. pacersrule

Dude, you got fucking pulled in the AHL playoffs man.

  5. computalgleech

If this is true, fuck him, and Trotz made the right call.

  6. Hockeyfan87_99

It’s always the Russian players. Radulov 2.0

  7. _Dirty_Commie_

This really feels like one of those moments where 5 years from now the Preds will have a third line center and 2nd pair D from the Askarov trade, be stuck with an aging Saros, and Askarov will be a top 3 goalie for a different team out there.

  8. Clovis_Winslow

Reminds me of Radulov or the Tits brothers.

We don’t have good luck with Russians.

  9. It’s hard to not feel like we didn’t fumble this

  10. SantasScrotum

Lmao look at everyone coming out of the woodworks saying fuck this guy.

Yet another Preds prospect we’ll never get to see pan out. We should be used to it by now

  11. SpeakNowAndEnter

Damn it. I really think he could have been the #2 behind Saros this year. If he goes off and becomes a superstar somewhere else I’m going to be pissed lol

  12. Ready-steady

Now we get to see how the team will handle this. Bench him until we get the trade we want.

  13. RustyNipples35

Said it from the start man – extending Saros was a dumbfuck idea

  14. we coulda drafted mcdavid and hed be sat in milwaukee because hes « not ready ». its been that way for years. some guys you have to just throw in the deep end. having Askarov as a backup in the nhl would do almost 0 damage to the team with Saros as the starter.

  15. Legionnaire11

Dude is not with reality if he thinks he’s NHL ready. You hate to waste a 1st rounder but if this is his attitude then it’s hardly the Preds fault.

  16. Emotional_News_4714

Dumb. Could easily have done a 1A 1B thing this season

  17. Would’ve been sweet to see him be the backup this year, maybe they can still figure it out idk

  18. KaleidoscopeOk1346

I am hyped to see how Askarov pans out in the NHL, but saying you are not going to report to work? The guy has the chance to become a franchise player for a franchise that loves their goalies over everything else.

Just do your job and you will get the call up. move. Trotz has made is CRYSTAL CLEAR that talent does not supercede effort. Do you think Trotz would keep any other player on the roster if they said this same thing?

This is the wrong mentality to have coming into this season.

  19. What is his leverage exactly? Is he going to threaten to go back to Russia where he was benched a whole season and is at risk to being drafted in the Ukraine war? Tell him to shut up and send him to Milwaukee anyways

  20. Bluecricket5

Yea, idk why anyone is suprised lol. This was pretty much the guaranteed outcome once Saros got his contract. Get ride of him, he seems like a chemistry killer
