IMO letting Holloway walk would be a big mistake. Broberg could possibly be replaced but our third line takes too much of a hit with no Kane unless Savoie really shows up.
Really..I wouldn’t want to see Holloway somewhere else. Oilers should keep him.
I think they’re matching both and just trolling by taking off the official roster.
Obviously getting under the cap is imperative, but l think the loss of Kane is understated.

I think they let both walk and accept the picks. The picks they get back are better than what they gave up in the trades. They'll be fine during the season and can use the picks to bolster at the deadline.

If they don't match either the defense will be pretty thin. Sure, you can fill it out at the trade deadline, but if there's an injury early there's trouble.
They have replaced them and will them go. Because they are going to need tos of cap space the next two years to sign three players at a cost of around 40 million cap hit every year. That doesn't give you much cap to fill out the team.
