Best pure sniper the NHL has ever seen
From the top of the circle the puck would be on and off Bossy’s stick in a split second. Great shot, great hands. He may very well have been the best pure goal scorer in NHL history. The back injury shortened his career big time. I know the league had huge goal scorers over the years like Esposito, Super Mario, Gretzky, Kurri, Bobby and Brett Hull, Guy Lafleur but Bossy may have been better than all of them. Just as a pure goal scorer , not as an overall player.
Never missed the net. Never wide or over the net…. never. Even Gretzky looked up to him. I'm spoiled I watch him in person most of my childhood!!!!
The term ‘best pure goal scorer’ is subjective and often debated. For my money Bossy is #1, and Brett Hull #2
(Not Ovechkin)
Had he been healthy and had a long career he would be number 1 in goals.
Bossy was unstoppable. The guy doesn't get mentioned enough.
Legendary
Never, Ever, saw him Fire and hit Glass. Playing with Trotts was a Match made in Heaven.
