   A 19 year old fifth round draft pick in 2023 that hasn’t played above college level and a 3rd round pick in a few years. Absolutely nothing to worry about losing.

   If it was a trade, a fifth round guy, a second round pick, and two third round picks for two NHL ready players is still a great deal for St. Louis. Giving up a little nothing much to smooth over any ruffled Like feathers? Still worth it.

   I’m pretty sure that this trade was made to entice the Oilers not to match the offer.

   The oilers probably threatened to match and asked the Blues to sweeten the pot, and so they did.
