That roster is all you need to see that the Wings needed a massive rebuild

Imagine not having made the playoffs since, *checks roster,* Rob Niedermayer played for your team.

Um actually in the 19-20 season everyone qualified for the playoffs 🤓

50 points for the leader on Detroit….jesus

That Senators lineup looked so good on paper

The simple fact that they lost Briere and Drury then got dumb enough to match Edmontons offer for Vanek is when I stopped going to games. You want good hockey in WNY you go to Division 1 games. The play in Atlantic isn’t NHL level but those kids show up for each and every damn shift. I haven’t seen that in Buffalo since the early 80s.

    – only player left in the league is Myers

    – almost every single player has been out of the league for 5 years, some even 10

    – one of them is a GM, a position usually allocated to 50/60/70 year olds

    – Lalime their 3G has been out of the league for 13 seasons

They’re taking the Atlantic this year finishing 123!

There’s a good chance that none of those teams make playoffs again 😰

Unless I’m mistaken, the only player from all 3 teams to still be on their team is Larkin on the wings

The sabres only have 1 player from that team still in the NHL with the chaos giraffe, Sens have 4 currently in the league now (Karlsson, Pageau, Stone, Ceci) Wings are the leaders with 6 (Larkin, Tatar, Nyquist, Glendening, Smith, Athanasiou)

I remember the offer sheet the Oilers offered Vanek way back in the day that Buffalo was furious about. They matched and it turned out to be a bad move

Not a single PPG player in this entire post

Today’s Buffalo team absolute dummies that one.

They’ll probably miss the playoffs again this year.

  14. Imagine if the Habs leapfrog all 3 teams to the playoffs?

Dang the two Tyler’s were probably considered the young guys on Buffalo back then. Now one is retired and one is pushing his mid 30s if he’s not already there.
