Broberg has made it clear that he doesn’t want to be in Edmonton for whatever reason. I’m wondering if Oilers might be working on a deal where they sign Broberg to keep St Louis from stealing him and then maybe trading Broberg to another team for a decent defenceman.
Most logical choice is to send down Josh Brown. Reason, 1 Million Cap Hit makes up for the 800,541 we're over when Kane goes LTIR. They can't send down Stecher as he doesn't earn enough to cover the overage, Brown does. This gives us a 13 Forward, 7 D, 2 Goalie team so we have spares if needed and that's WITH Broberg and Holloway. I can see them also sending Perry down to bring Lavoie up (or Peterson or Savoie or, well you get the message). His base salary is the max that can be parked so he gives us the biggest return (and he's a pylon on skates compared to the younger guys).
