Yipee the roster for a middling non-contender has been released. Roster wont look much different-again. Add duclair – 15, 17. 26 (who belongs in ahl) still there. Tsyplakov is still an unknown who has to earn nhl spot. George and gill now ahl eligible. Habs just improved adding a goal scorer to go with caufield and slaf. Too bad isles have no one worth a fk to offer sheet louzer into cap he-ll like blows did to oil who didn't match double offer sheets. And holding onto this run it back bunch every season gives prospects no chance no hope for nhl as louzer's overpaid garbage and 18 are assured spots with no worries about roster spot all paid long term with immovable contracts. Not like isles have any grade a prospects ready for nhl-all fringe nhl types unlikely to make an impact. At least flyers dumped johannson deal willing to eat it to go away. Better hope eiserman doesn't decline and forget how to score after being drafted by isles like 26 and bellows did. So tired of this hopeless shit every year nothing to look forward to-in future. Give us some optimism for once louzer. And goal scorer laine was a no go once bj's wouldn't retain $$$'s leaving louzer and his cap mimanagement shit out of luck once again.

Great show Gil. I love hearing the excitement in your voice! You mentioned that we might see some of these same players from the training camp roster during the pre-season, that would be great. I am excited to see Isaiah George. It was sad to see that Cal Clutterbuck and Matt Martin were not on the list, though not surprising and probably the right decision. LGI!
Good show Gil, but I feel no excitement for that list of prospects.
I am hopeful Duclair fits well on the top line. He isn't really a sniper, but he has some smooth moves that fool goalies. I think he's going to surprise a lot of people and get a long term contract with the Isles.
I still haven't figured out why Mike Reilly signed a one year deal for so little. He got rave reviews from Paul Maurice and was a solid D-man for the Isles last year. He showed he is a good passer and a solid breakout defenseman. If he had shopped around, he would have gotten a longer term and more money. Why take such a low-ball contract on a team where he's likely going to be the 7th Defenseman with a healthy Mayfield returning to the lineup? His looks like a holding pattern contract. I have a feeling he'll be traded sometime this season, perhaps back to the Panthers.
What if Engvall doesn't improve? How many picks will Yoda surrender to erase his big mistake?
Duclair will score 30+ and Barzel will be a pt a game…I love the makeup of the team but should Andres Lee really be the Captian? Call me crazy but him forTavares and a pick sounds good. But really sorokin needs to be a top 5 goalie…

Why don’t they hold a prospects camp like the rest of the NHL?? That’s stupid. Not surprised to not see Clutter and Martin. I’m hoping Dufour. does some good stuff in camp. His performance last season was disappointing.
Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? The Islanders released their preliminary roster, and it looks promising, especially now that they've got Anthony DuClair. They should've held a prospect camp this summer. The Islanders didn't trade for Patrick Lanie because of his issues, and the asking price was probably too high. I knew that trading away all those draft picks would come back to bite Lou Lamoriello in the behind. HAPPY 🎂, GLENN HEALY.
The number one Name I am so high on is The Hulk! 6’6” 220 lbs Fin D Jesse Pulkkinen! If anyone reminds me of Hedman it is Pulkkinen! He might not have the same offensive skills but I certainly see him as a punishing defensive Defense man who will clear the crease and stop those crashing our goalies! I strongly feel Pulkkinen could put extreme pressure on Romanov,
Mayfield, and even the 2 P’s! Seriously very exciting to see Jesse who was playing in the Fins men’s league hit the ice! I also want to see Julien Gauthier given a real chance to make this team! We need his size n speed! Give him an honest chance Roy! And Lou!!!!! It will also be interesting to see what Marcus Hogberg might bring! In the end I do feel Pulkkinen might push for a spot! Romanov and Mayfield better watch their back. Trading Romanov and inserting a Pulkkinen next to Dobson will ease salary and bring back a prospect or draft pick!

Hi Gil! Hope you and you’re family are well! Lost touch some-traveling some—well I’m not planning a parade anytime soon—I think we will make it—but I’m dreading getting pushed around. I’m hearing the Devils are interested in Lucic—-I mean Gil kidding me? If that happens Macdermid, Dillon and Lucic? Brutal physical division. I trust Roy but no enforcer? A 2 minute nasty mean slash or a head shot just because ya can—can ruin a season. I’m just being blunt. Yes I want younger, faster but ya gotta deter the wolves ya know. Let’s see what some new faces can do—-let’s hope Sorro is great again. I know this much—-I don’t want to hear “We have to play more physical” because playing physical means ya have to stand up for yourself! Engval and Holmstrom? Good luck with that. Take care Gil!
