The Oilers need a positionally solid shutdown guy to play beside Nurse. Barrie is more about offense. Can't hurt to put him on a PTO, and if you can bring him in at minimum why not, but probably not a viable solution.

Why would we revisit an aging, offensive d-man, who’s not known for his defending? He wouldn’t get much PP time with Bouchard running things.
