Honestly a solid list. Can’t really argue with that one. Everybody is a great player here and I don’t see either Nylander or Marner cracking the top 5.

I’m a huge Willy fan (can’t get enough of that big Willy amirite?) but I just don’t understand how people consider him ahead of marner. Marner has the better offensive stats and is a Selke candidate as a winger….

Am I the only guy who think tkachuk is over rated? He’s a really good offensive player who plays like a prick and gets under people’s skin. But he’s not a super physical player, and is average defensively. I genuinely would put him around 7

If we’re basing this on talent and ability, how many people have Nylander over Marner? There are lots of reasons to be pissed off at Marner and whatever, but he is definitively better than Nylander. He puts up more points, he is significantly better defensively, he’s more reliable 2 ways, he’s more consistent, he’s the anchor of the PP and PK (which is probably a mistake). Marner is better.
But weirdly, the only part of the list I disagree with is Nylander over Marner. Swap them and I’m happy with it. It’s a good list lol.

The boys of locked on Leafs (the podcast) made a whole episode on that last week. However, I kinda disagree with them making a big deal for mitch being lower than Willy. They are both in the top 10, looks good enought to me!
