  1. One of my side quests I'll keep an eye on this year is Hall. I want him to have a stupid good season out of nowhere.

  2. If you are looking for a "Patreon alternative", I had a lot of good time on Kofi, very content creator friendly. I can recommend taking a look if it's turning out to not pan out well with Patreon, but hoping it doesn't have to come to this

  3. Nashville really fucked everything by even drafting Askarov, they should’ve drafted a forward and did this. One of the major ways Poile fucked us.

  4. Will Hall be healthy enough to matter? Patreon, like Paypal, has issues and not ones that are fair to their customers.

  5. Shannon, I got a question you may have the answer to.

At the end you mentioned about the usual thank you for the support and all that and mentioned how in a small way like watching an ad from time to time all the way through can really help as well. I'm curious, I have a YouTube subscription so I don't have ads ever populate – Does YouTube give you some sort of kick back from those subscriptions as well?

Quickly as well, given I have already started typing when normally I just move on to the next video. I think you are one of the best and most genuine presenter of hockey news I've seen and your opinions are valued as well as your genuine understanding that the YouTube consumers don't necessarily always want certain things (like members only pay-walls for critical content) shoved down our throats even if it might mean more money in your pocket. You are a great human being and I appreciate your videos and prospect.

    Keep up the great work!

  6. Patreon is a very political motivated company. They engage in big media censorship quite extensively and have been known to block or delete memberships at a whim based on anything they seem fit. They engage in thought policing and will terminate members based on who they vote for, saying the wrong words, what other channels you follow, or even if you had something for breakfast they didn't like. They are like the Kier Starmer of online funding for creators. Find something else to use would be your best move.

  7. Patreon annoys me. The not being able to give away things is a lousy policy. It's an incentive to get members to a channel which is an incentive for Patreon to grow as well. It's just frivolous to me.

  8. If those players are ready to move on why match the offers? Screw em. Let them miss the playoffs in St Louis.

  9. To be fair Askarov is NHL level and has been for a 1-2 years, you also have Juuse signing a 8 year deal, what is Askarov gonna do? MAYBE sit on the bench for the next 8 years.

Its very reasonable for him to ask for a trade, also if im not mistaken he is a righty and a very good righty, you dont see that all too often.

  10. Was thinking of Askarov going to Montreal. They need a starter. The price might be high though.

  11. Which teams would work for Askarov.

    Blackhawks
    Devils
    Utah
    Ducks

But Trotz is in a no win situation. The Wedgewood signing probably is what ticked Askarov off. Even if he played one or two more seasons in Milwaukee, he'll NEVER be the Guy in Nashville. That Saros contract could very well be an albatross for them. 9 years, with Jussi already in his late 20's.
He'll be like 38 when it expires. Askarov will be motivated to show Trotz how they treated him was a mistake, wherever he lands!

  12. Let's not forget, Saros' first season, backing up Rinne, he was 10-8-3, so all this talk about Askarov not being ready is junk. Saros needed a sesson or two, before excelling in the NHL.

  13. It's a shame his camp wasn't more public about this earlier. Most teams have already locked in their duo, and it would be a nightmare demoting a vet just because your new shiny toy wants a role as a backup. It really handcuffs which teams are able to make an offer.

  14. Yaro's playoff performance over the past two seasons hasn't helped him. Maybe he gets a pass as a rookie, but Grosenick saved the Ads in the playoffs this year (much like Cooley did the season before).
